So our lab guys were sitting around one day thinking about the nature of the tub stains they spent an hour scrubbing with a combination of Calcium, Lime, Rust (C.L.R.) and then Comet every time they clean the tubs in the under ground labs.
The gray layer of soap scum that develops on the bottom and sides of the tub are mostly oils washed off from one’s body.
Last weekend, there was a tub that had not been scrubbed in at least 3 weeks. We took Dawn Power Dissolver and sprayed all of the darkened scum and let it sit for 15 minutes. We come back and what normally would require us to scrub with a brush quite forcibly now rinses off like magic with water.
It is not available everywhere, but we do know that Wal-Mart usually carries it in their kitchen dish washing section, and if you can’t find it there, Amazon is your friend.
